Residency dates: Mon 23 - Fri 27 Nov 2020
Ever felt like you’re just not smashing it? I have. So when I found out my Dad had a terminal illness I did everything he could to get grief ‘right’…and still messed it up. Dead Dads Club will be an autobiographical comedy that gets people talking and laughing at grief in a time where kicking the taboo feels more important than ever.
I am originally from the North East and trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. This will be my first show as a writer-performer and I will be using the residency with artsdepot to develop story, structure and ideas on how I can use sound within the show with director and dramaturg Guy Jones.
