Artists

Supporting artists and the development of new work is an important part of what we do.

In addition to the projects below there are three main strands to our artist development work:

STATIONS – Our Development Workshop Programme

Develop and hone your skills as a freelance artist and connect with industry professionals.

Throughout the year we host a series of artist development workshops, both in person and online, including topics such as: Producing, Funding, Programming, Community Engagement, Writing and Marketing. This season’s workshops workshops are listed below. Please note that subsidised rates are available for those who would otherwise not be able to attend.

PLATFORM – Our Artist Residency Programme

This programme allows artists to access resources and expertise to develop their work, including:

  • Seed funding
  • Rehearsal space
  • Access to support from the artsdepot team
  • Free access to all our Development Workshop Programme
  • Offers through our Alumni Network

Applications for PLATFORM Artist Residencies for Autumn 2024 / Spring 2025 are now open, find out more.

TRANSIT – Freelancer Support

We offer ongoing support to Artists who have been through our Artist Residency programmes.

  • 1 to 1 Surgeries: Let’s stay in touch! Our 1 to 1 surgeries are a chance for us to catch-up, a chance for us to learn more about how your work is progressing, and for you to hear about what we’re up to.
  • Hot Desk: Available for artists who need somewhere to work on a script, producing a show or a funding application.
