Family shows & activities

Pins & Needles have brought the wonderful The Bear and Mr Popper's Penguins to artsdepot in the past. Explore their interactive online show Select A Quest! Can you survive the Freaky Forest and find Captain Jenny's whistle before it's too late? Click here to start your own adventure, great for kids ages 6+. 

Streamed from our Facebook page, record-breaking beatboxer SK Shlomo is hosting weekly beatboxing lessons for kids! Inspired by their hit 2019 show, the Unicorn Theatre's Anansi the Spider is getting a reboot online! Anansi the Spider Re-spun will be released online in 3 episodes every Sat at 11am from 30 May, great for ages 3 - 8. You can also explore activities connected to the show here.

We worked with Coney this year to deliver a series of workshops for young people about self-confidence. Coney have created The Pop-Up Playhouse! Create your own plays, explore games, and get in touch with Coney to share your creations. Click here for more.

The Arts Council have created Let's Create packs for young creative minds and families to spark creativity and imaginations! You can download a copy of the pack online here. Parents and carers can share what their budding creatives create from the packs using the hashtag #LetsCreate on social media.

Shows & activities for adults

Incredible independent dance company BalletBoyz were due to perform at artsdepot in April. You can now see the show they were due to perform, their 20-year anniversary show DELUXE, on BBC Four. Watch the stunning trailer here.

In 2018, Southwark Playhouse presented the incredible musical Wasted, about the Bronte siblings. You can watch the musical online! Ferocious and filled with incredible rock music, this is the Brontes as you've never seen them before. Click here for more, and watch the trailer here.

The National Student Drama Festival have announced The Bigger Room Project! Young adults ages 16 - 25 can enjoy and explore a series of free online workshops, featuring creatives like Rosamund Pike, Armando Iannucci, and Erica Whyman (RSC). Click here to sign up and learn more.

Creating nights full of feel-good 70's and 80's music to boogie along to, Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet have moved online! You can sign up for virtual disco dancing classes - a half hour session to move, groove and strut your stuff. Click here to sign up for future classes.

Community spotlight: LSC Living

Our resident Theatre Dance and Musical Theatre Conservatoire London Studio Centre are looking after their students from home. The Instagram page, LSC Living, shares everything from stretching classes to welfare links to even a running club with their students. While the account is for students, it's an inspiring look for planning our own days!
