Catch two exciting comedians as they share brand-new shows in development at artsdepot.

Expect big ideas, bold jokes and the electric unpredictability that makes a work-in-progress performance so special. This is your chance to catch fresh material before it heads to the Edinburgh fringe — and to say you saw it here first.

Two exciting performers. Two works in progress. One brilliant night out.

Huge Davies
Combining his confident on stage presence, dark humour, surreal material and his one-of-kind customised keyboard, Huge has quickly risen to become one the most unique acts in the UK.

After reaching the finals of the Leicester Square Comedian of the Year, Amused Moose New National Comic Award, Hackney Empire New Act of the Year and the Musical Comedy Awards in 2018, Huge debuted his first show ‘The Carpark’ at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019. A complete sell-out, it received multiple five-star reviews and an Edinburgh Comedy Award Nomination for Best Newcomer. The show transferred to the Soho Theatre and was featured as Time Out’s No.1 comedy show to see. It was given three extra runs following excessive demand and has been filmed by LA based production company 800 Pound Gorilla Records to be released as a special. His most recent Album for My Ancestors (Dead), was on at the Edinburgh Fringe, 2024 and is on tour Feb – May 2025.

Huge appears regularly on television, including his own Channel 4 sitcom ‘The Artists’ which he created, wrote and starred in. Other television appearances include 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Harry Hill’s Clubnite, Roast Battle, Jools Holland, Hypothetical, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Live at the Comedy Store, Comedians Giving Lectures and The Stand Up Sketch Show. Huge performs both in the UK and internationally, also supporting Phil Wang and Joe Lycett on their national tours. Huge has worked as a writer for Never Mind The Buzzcocks & Famalam, is a regular performer on BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show and co-hosts live podcast The Film Quiz with Nick Helm. He has recently made an appearance in Romesh Ranganathan’s series Avoidance Series 2 (BBC) released in 2024.

Other credits include the Melbourne Comedy Festival 2023, The Stand Up Sketch Show Season 6 (ITVX) and Live from the Fringe (ITVX). He also created and written own sitcom on Channel 4, The Artists and he co-hosts, the Slime County podcast.

Katie Norris
Katie Norris is a stand-up comedian, actress and singer.

Katie’s 2025 smash-hit live show Go West, Old Maid was nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and achieved widespread critical acclaim before transferring to London’s Soho Theatre in 2025 ahead of a UK tour in 2026.

Katie is a previous winner of the Musical Comedy Awards and her 2024 debut hour Farm Fatale also saw a sold-out Fringe run, and was nominated for the NextUp Biggest Award in Comedy.

Katie recently made her debut on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), and is a regular voice on BBC Radio 4, having appeared on The Now Show, Do Gooders, DMs are Open and Newsjack.

As an actor her she has appeared in Doctors (BBC One) and the upcoming C4 series Make That Movie, and her theatre credits include; The Demolitian Man (Bolton Octagon), Doctor Faustus (The Royal Exchange), Rookery Nook (Theatre by the Lake), The Comedy of Errors (Theatre by the Lake), Dracula (Theatre by the Lake), Richard III (Godot’s Watch, Rosemary Branch Theatre), and The Poda Poda Collective (Hull Truck Theatre).

Katie is also one-half of the Edinburgh cult-favourites Norris & Parker, who previously featured in The Guardian’s top 10 Best Comedy Shows of the Year, and have been critic’s choice in The Guardian, The Evening Standard and The Independent.

What an intense, unpredictable and hilarious show this is…brough to exhilarating life by a sensational performance that it takes on an epic life

Steve Bennett, Chortle

Wonderfully batty and unapologetic… A solo debut to cherish

The Guardian

The poise she displays with her expressive comic physicality, well, it’s a sublime witch’s brew of ingredients for a first-rate debut

Jay Richardson, Scotsman
