For Early Years and Primary Age Children

  • artsdepot Creative Explorers – Led by dance artist Cheryl McChesney, artsdepot Creative Explorers sessions include storytelling, movement, creative and sensory play, designed to help your little one explore, play and grow. There are classes for babies aged 10 – 18 months, and toddlers aged 18 months – 3 years.
  • Our hire partners offer a wide range of classes for kids including ballet, kickboxing, and musical theatre. See the full range of classes here.
  • Playdepot is a free soft play area created especially for our littlest visitors, with a place for the grown-ups to relax.
  • Our free book swap can be found on Level 2 (close to playdepot). Bring in your old reads and swap them out for something else!
  • We have a fantastic range of family shows to choose from, with shows most weekends and in the school holidays. View our upcoming family shows here.
  • Over the course of the year we host a wide variety of free family festivals.
  • Our inclusive Summer Camps run through the Summer holidays offering the chance to learn new skills and perform in a full scale Musical in our Pentland Theatre. Keep your eyes peeled for info on our 2024 Summer Camps!

For Young People and Teenagers

  • Aged 14 – 21? Are you passionate about arts and culture? Want to develop your ideas and confidence to make a change? Then our Youth Advocates group is for you!
  • artsdepot is a partner venue for NT Connections, a festival of theatre for young people. Every year we host a group of young people to perform an NT Connections play on one of our stages.
  • Our hire partners offer a wide range of classes for young people including yoga, kickboxing, and musical theatre. See the full range of classes here.
  • Every year we offer Work Experience to a group of young people from Barnet, where they get to have hands-on experience of working in a busy arts venue.
  • Our inclusive Summer Camp runs through the Summer holidays offering the chance to learn new skills and perform in a full scale Musical in our Pentland Theatre. Keep your eyes peeled for info on our 2024 Summer Camps!
  • Submissions are currently invited for the artsdepot Young Artists Exhibition. Open to young artists aged 11 – 25, the exhibition will be displayed in our Apthorp Gallery in May Half Term 2024.

Schools

artsdepot has fantastic engagement with schools in the local area. Recently, we’ve worked with multiple schools across North London on our Future Cities Exhibition, Learning Labyrinth installations, and we are currently running our annual SEN Work Experience programme with students from local schools.
