Performance Opportunity Callout: Fault Lines Community Cast

Wed 4 Jun 2025

Do you have a passion for contemporary dance? Join the Community Cast of Fault Lines, a touring dance show coming to artsdepot on 10 July, 2025.

What is Fault Lines?
It’s a new touring show that explores the climate crisis. Dance, theatre, music and digital projection form an imaginative response to themes of destruction & chaos, rewilding and regeneration.

Who can take part?
We invite anyone aged 12+ to be part of this exciting local cast opportunity. You do not need to be a professional dancer nor have any experience in contemporary dance. Just a desire to get involved!

What will I be doing?
The local cast are embedded into a section of the performance taking place at artsdepot on 10 July at 7.30pm. In this section you come together with other members of your community to learn and create movement sequences in response to rewilding. In this uplifting section, you will move amongst digitally projected illustration of plants growing across the stage and the performers, alongside our professional cast.

What is the time commitment?

  • Be able to perform in Fault Lines at artsdepot on Thursday 10 July at 7.30pm
  • Attend two rehearsals on Saturday 5 July, 3.30-7.30pm and Sunday 6 July 12-4pm at artsdepot
  • Attend the dress rehearsal with the professional cast from 3.30pm on the Thursday 10 July

What will I gain from it?
The opportunity to perform on stage in a professional production with a professional company. The chance to work with dancers from your community and explore creative ideas in a friendly environment. An opportunity to be part of a creative conversation around climate change and to contribute to a dance work where positive change is at the heart of the piece.
