Let’s cook up some stories! Join us for a scrumptious day of book-related activities including storytelling with Rosie Tells Tales and Ella Phillips, edible book making, craft activities, book swapping, dressing up, and lots more.

The day includes:

Bake Me a Fairytale interactive storytelling with Rosie Tells Tales
Run, run as fast as you can! Fairytale characters are on the loose! Take part in a fast paced interactive storytelling show using songs, rhymes, movement, makaton signs and curious culinary props to bake a fairytale. Follow the recipe for a traditional tale and become a team of story chefs to help Rosie avoid a happily ever disaster when a series of misshaps and mistakes eventually lead to something great. Great for ages 3 – 7, sign up on the day.

My Grandma’s Magic Recipes: Spring Bloom, interactive book reading with author Ella Phillips
Embark on a captivating journey with author Ella Phillips in a multi-sensory workshop that blends storytelling, interactive fun, and creativity to spark your imagination for Spring! Gather for mesmerizing storytelling, brought alive with scents, sounds and textures. Recommended for ages 2 – 8, sign up on the day.

Comedy, Spoken Word, Songs and Silliness with Jude Simpson 
Jude Simpson writes and performs joyful comedy with poetry, wordplay and song.
Jude will be presenting some material from her forthcoming production A Noise Annoys – a family show of spoken word, song and silliness which takes audiences on a journey through the sounds of language and the language of sounds. Perfect for ages 6+, drop in.

Bring your imagination and a book to swap! All activities are free, with the exception of a small charge for badge making.
