Sujata Banerjee Dance Company presents Hemantika, a celebration of classical Indian dance and music.
Now in its ninth year, this spectacular festival will showcase groundbreaking ensemble work by SBDC students, internationally renowned guest artists Shambhavi Dandekar (Kathak – USA), ClimArts (Odissi – UK) and Akash Odedra (Kathak solo, UK).
The programme will also feature the most anticipated collaboration with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and SBDC; a short production of the iconic love-story Swan Lake through the lens of Kathak dance with a live on-stage orchestra.
Please note that there is a slightly different format at each performance:
2pm show: features SBDC students, guest artists Shambhavi Dandekar and Neelambaree Prasad and Kripa Iyer from ClimArts.
6.30pm show: features SBDC students, solo performance by Aakash Odedra, followed by Swan Lake by SBDC company and live music from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
