In Spring 2021 we supported a 6-week online Theatre for Well-being project with Woodhouse College, delivered by artist Katie Greenall.
The project included a series of online drama, poetry, spoken word and creative writing based workshops which enabled young people to reflect on their mental health and well-being throughout the past year and at the current time.
Each session focused on a specific theme including joy, home, identity and their future. Through a series of creative exercises such as improvisation, role play and free writing, the young people created a collection of creative thoughts and reflections on their world right now.
To conclude and celebrate the project, the students selected their favourite materials to create their own zine, for themselves and to pass on to other young people. You can download the zine on this page.
Katie Greenall is a facilitator, theatre maker and spoken word artist, who graduated in 2017 from East 15 Acting School with a degree in Acting and Community Theatre.
