We’re obsessed with getting the right cherry blossom Instagram shot – but are we really paying attention to them ?…
Do pines and planes even give us permission to take their photo?…
Despite all our photo-taking, are plant species disappearing from the record in plain sight?
Join artist Becky Lyon for a creative afternoon that is playful and thoughtful in equal measure. We will closely explore the tree species before creating our own experimental, camera-free photographs using plant matters and photographic paper. As we watch the plants create their own impressions on paper and begin to fade we will talk about urban nature connection and action to prevent biodiversity loss.
This event is timed for the Urban Tree Festival 2026.
