Join us for an inspiring celebration of the creativity, talent and imagination of our local community.
As part of LIT/UP, artsdepot’s weekend of events for Light + Flight, LIT/UP: LIVE brings together performers, dancers, writers and makers of all ages to share original work created over the autumn in response to the themes of light and flight.
This special showcase features new work from artsdepot Youth Theatre, artsdepot Dance Company and Creative Circle, highlighting the power of creativity to connect people, spark ideas and bring communities together.
Experience The Imagination Station, an ambitious new play devised by the artsdepot Youth Theatre. Set during a late-night radio call-in show, the piece invites audiences on a series of fantastical journeys where imagination takes centre stage, while host Jo finds her own sense of purpose tested along the way.
Creative Circle, artsdepot’s creative programme for over 55s, will share a collection of original poetry and short-form writing inspired by the themes of light, flight and belonging, while artsdepot Dance Company (55+) will present a brand-new dance work developed especially for the festival.
Warm, uplifting and full of imagination, LIT/UP: LIVE is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of local artists and community groups, while discovering the creativity flourishing across Barnet.
Come along, support local talent and be part of a borough-wide celebration of creativity, connection and belonging.
LIT/UP: LIVE is part of Light + Flight a borough-wide cultural programme which has been unfolding across 2026, bringing together artists, communities, and local stories. Light + Flight is presented by Art in Barnet. It is supported by a Cultural Impact Award, part of the Mayor’s London Borough of Culture programme. It is made possible with additional support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.
