Noah Silverstone and Yuxuan Liu are theatre-makers and long-time collaborators whose work focuses on creating intimate and humanitarian stories.
Yuxuan Liu is a theatre director and writer whose work champions queer and international new writing through devising, movement, and music. Noah Silverstone is an actor and theatre-maker who specialises in political and physical theatre – he is a SPARK Supported Artist at Pegasus Theatre where he is developing his first play.
During their artsdepot residency, Noah and Yuxuan will develop a new play about the Jewish refugees who arrived in China during the Holocaust. They will use their time at artsdepot for script writing and developing the musical and physical languages of this piece. This story will explore a little-known chapter of history where their peoples’ paths once crossed.
This residency is supported in collaboration with Tsitsit Fringe Festival 2024
