Light + Flight at artsdepot

Explore a range of events as part of our programme, including an opportunity work with artist Matthew Rosier and UP Projects to create the public art installation, Ascendance.

Plus, join us in November for the premiere of Lighthouse by Jez Colborne, a brand new artsdepot commission. Part gig, part light show, part apocalyptic rave, this immersive performance fuses original music, projection, film and movement. Jez explores themes of isolation and connection, inspired by the comforting pull of distant sirens echoing across land and sea.

Across the weekend, the building will also come alive with exhibits and performance by local communities from across Barnet inspired by Lighthouse, creating a celebration for everyone.

Light + Flight is a new, borough-wide cultural programme unfolding across 2026, bringing together artists, communities, and local stories.

Light + Flight is presented by Art in Barnet. It is supported by a Cultural Impact Award, part of the Mayor’s London Borough of Culture programme. It is made possible with additional support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.
