Wellbeing Project with Woodhouse College

Published: Thu 25 Feb 2021

artsdepot is supporting a 6-week online Theatre for Wellbeing project with Woodhouse College, delivered by artist Katie Greenall.

The project will involve a series of online drama, poetry, spoken word and creative writing based workshops that enable young people to reflect on their mental health and wellbeing throughout the past year and at this current time.

Each session will be focused on a specific theme including joy, home, identity and their future. Through a series of creative exercises such as improvisation, role play and free writing, the young people will create a collection of creative thoughts and reflections on their world right now.

To culminate the project, the students will select their favourite materials to create their own zine, for themselves and to pass on to other young people.

Katie is a facilitator, theatre maker and spoken word artist, who graduated in 2017 from East 15 Acting School with a degree in Acting and Community Theatre. Katie runs workshop and makes work with young people and communities all over London - including at the Bush Theatre, The Yard, National Youth Theatre and Central School of Speech and Drama.
