artsdepot is offering young people the chance to attend a specially adapted version of Rhum + Clay’s acclaimed production Mistero Buffo, followed by a one-hour theatre workshop – for free.
Written by Nobel Prize-winning playwright Dario Fo, Mistero Buffo is a comic and fast-moving look at society, inequality, and everyday life through the eyes of a travelling storyteller.
Free tickets for students and home educated young people are offered as part of Barnet & Culture for Youth’s Touring into Schools Programme.

I loved the symbolism; when he first come on stage talking about Jesus, I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy it, but as the play unravelled I felt a rollercoaster of feelings and many ideas that captivated my interest. The Brecht techniques were pulling me in and out.

Free post-show workshop for students / home educated young people:
Inspire your students and kickstart their devising process. Using the foundations of the Lecoq pedagogy as a launchpad for creation, we’ll guide your students through improvisation, movement analysis and ensemble creation tasks to:
- Explore and employ different stimuli as the inspiration for their own original pieces
- Devise through improvisation
- Create using core Lecoq principles of movement & collaboration
- Cooperate effectively to produce work with their peers
This workshop will run from 12 – 1pm. It is FREE for young people but capacity is limited. Tickets for the performance do not include the workshop, which must be booked separately by calling the Box Office on 020 8369 5454.
