This workshop will take place online. You’ll receive a Zoom link, via email, 1 hour before the start time.
A whistle-stop overview of all things theatre marketing: from understanding your audiences and getting your head around different types of marketing activity, to learning how to create and manage your own full marketing strategy.
Join us for a session full of practical tools and tips to help your work do what it’s meant to do – connect to audiences. This workshop is suitable for all theatre makers, companies and artists with big ideas and small budgets (no marketing experience required!)
Founded in 2020, marketing collective Cup of Ambition champions projects that are big in aspiration: from fringe theatre to main stages and everything in between. They offer affordable marketing support to theatres, companies and artists across the UK.
Their client base includes both commercial and Off-West End work, UK tours, in-house marketing support and consultancy for venues, Edinburgh Fringe shows, festivals and live events, and more. Recent clients for live work include Punchdrunk (The Burnt City), Kandinsky (The Winston Machine), Silent Faces (Godot is a Woman), Trish Wadley Productions/Park Theatre (The Shape of Things), ZooCo (Night Shift) and Lidless Theatre (Leaves of Glass).
Ticket Rates:
£5 – Subsidised Rate: Subsidised from artsdepot’s access fund, available for participants on lower income/facing financial barriers.
£8 – Base Rate: This cost is the basic rate required to cover the running costs of the workshop.
£10 – Supporter Rate: For anyone who is able to and wants to pay a bit extra to support other participants. The money goes into our access fund which enables us to offer subsidised spaces for those who experience financial barriers which mean they wouldn’t be able to participate in the workshop.
