Maga Judd trained at London Contemporary Dance School and Middlesex University and has been teaching, performing and creating for over 15 years in the UK and internationally. She is the founder and director of Dare2Dance Company CIC and the BeWell Family Dance Festival, which brings communities together through movement, play and performance. Maga teaches Groove Together – creative dance classes for little ones and their carers – as well as release-based technique for BA Dance students at Middlesex University. She also leads contemporary dance classes for people aged 55+ and the Upstanding Citizens group, creating space for older adults to stay active, playful and connected. Known for her unique teaching style, Maga blends contemporary dance, contact improvisation, Bartenieff fundamentals and yoga to create classes that are inclusive, creative and joyful. She has a gift for teaching across generations, helping everyone – from toddlers to older adults – discover confidence, freedom and curiosity through movement. Maga regularly collaborates with organisations such as Dancing Strong Movement Lab and BEEE Creative, performing and co-creating projects that champion community participation and innovative approaches to dance. When she’s not teaching, Maga can often be found dancing in the kitchen with her son, testing out new movement ideas and playlists.
