A pale pink background. On the right, a hand is holding a tub full of money, with a sticky note in the middle, saying 'Where to next?' In the bottom left-hand corner, a pink paint stroke logo reads 'artsdepot artist development'.

This event has now finished.

Arts Council is one place to get funding. But it’s not the only one...

Working with a profession freelance theatre producer, in this workshop, we’ll unpack the various routes to funding, to equip participants with a range of tools to unlock funding opportunities for theatre.

Rory Thomas-Howes is a queer producer and playwright trained at East 15 Acting School, raised in the West Midlands and now based in London. His work tends to examine contemporary issues from underrepresented voices and creatives, particularly the LGBTQ+ community. He has been longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting, shortlisted for the Sit Up Award and the Vault Five 2021, and has won an Off West End Commendation and Theatre Weekly’s Best of Fringe Award. He produced two sell-out shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2019 and is currently working on projects for numerous London and regional theatres.

This online workshop will take place on Zoom.

Ticket Rates:

£5 – Subsidised Rate: Subsidised from artsdepot’s access fund, available for participants on lower income/facing financial barriers.

£8 – Base Rate: This cost is the basic rate required to cover the running costs of the workshop.

£10 – Supporter Rate: For anyone who is able to and wants to pay a bit extra to support other participants. The money goes into our access fund which enables us to offer subsidised spaces for those who experience financial barriers which mean they wouldn’t be able to participate in the workshop.
