Two children pose with their tablets on display. The tablet screens show images from Minecraft.

This event has now finished.

Join Code Kids for an interactive workshop that uses Minecraft to introduce primary aged children to basic coding concepts.

Campers will use a drag and drop interface which is highly intuitive. They will learn coding concepts like variables, conditionals and loops. More advanced participants can switch any time from block-based drag-and-drop code to Javascript or Python.

The children can play with their creations and show their friends at the end of the session on a secure server that only the course participants on the day will have access to.

  • Code in Minecraft using a Java editor
  • Increase complexity with Conditions and Variables
  • Learn about Boolean and Loops
  • Test and debug using logic and systematic reasoning
  • Connect your world and Play in Minecraft

Facilitated by Code Kids
Code Kids are a team of fun loving techies who love working with children and inspiring them through awesome, hands-on projects. They convert end users of tech into creators and designers, ready to be the creative problem-solvers of the future!

Spaces are limited – don’t miss out on a day of STEAM, creativity, and invention.

Camp cost includes a lunchbox from artsdepot Café containing a sandwich (ham, jam or cheese) with crisps, yogurt, cheese stick, juice, fruit (banana or apple), raisins or sweets.
