The academic drawing classes are a great opportunity for kids who show an interest and talent for art and would like to expand their skills.
Supported by funding from the Ove Arup Foundation, the Apthorp Architecture Exhibition is an exciting project delivered by socially engaged architects with the aim of creatively connecting young people to themes of sustainability.
Each year, three schools (one secondary, one SEN, one primary) participate in workshops exploring sustainability and the built environment, and creating artworks, culminating in a group exhibition at artsdepot’s Apthorp Gallery. The groups are also invited to a celebration session bringing all the students together to recognise their achievements and see their collaboration come to life.
For Spring 2025, MATT+FIONA have been bringing their knowledge and expertise to three schools in Barnet who are working towards a group exhibition held in the Easter Holidays. MATT+FIONA is an award-winning social enterprise that asks young people how their built environment might be improved and empowers them to bring that vision to life through their work, BUILD, LEARN, CONNECT.
