Page One Theatre

Residency Dates: Mon 8 - Fri 19 Jun 2015

Page One Theatre formed in 2012, an emerging company of collaborators creating ensemble theatre for young audiences. Combining movement and puppetry they produce original and vibrant new stories for children and their families.

During their residency, Page One Theatre explored ideas for a new show for children set at the seaside, in collaboration with award-winning author Frann Preston-Gannon (The Journey Home, How To Lose a Lemur, Dinosaur Farm).

The company played with a combination of dance, design and object puppetry, exploring themes of memory and transformation as they brought found objects to life and uncovered the story. This research will lead on to the creation of a performance inviting children into a sensory and atmospheric environment.
