artsdepot Young Company
Are you interested in drama and acting? Do you enjoy performing and working with others?
artsdepot’s Young Company is an exciting chance for young people in school years 10 - 13 to work as a theatre company to create performance work supported and mentored by experienced professionals. It is a creative opportunity for young people who want to learn and develop their theatrical skills in an energetic, fun and friendly environment.
Classes include activities, games and performances focused on developing skills, confidence and teamwork. Over the course of the year, Young Company participants will experience devising theatre, script work, storytelling, creating characters, performing and much more!
During the Autumn term participants will be focusing on Physical Theatre. This is an opportunity to explore alternative ways of expression to purely using spoken word. Participants will explore other techniques including movement, mime and gesture.
The weekly workshops will lead to a sharing of the group’s creativity at the end of the term for friends and family.
Come along, socialise, learn and express yourself whilst having fun.
No experience necessary.
Autumn Term: Thu 20 Sep - Thu 29 Nov (no class on Thu 25 Oct)
Venue: Dance Space
New members can attend an initial session before continuing with classes long-term. This is to provide an opportunity for both the participant to trial whether the group is suitable. This initial taster session is free but must be booked through our Box Office.

We're keen to hear from participants from all backgrounds and have a limited number of subsidised places available for those who could otherwise not afford to attend. Please contact our Participation team at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
