Renu Arora

Renu Arora is an award-winning disabled actor, singer and writer of South Asian heritage, with a body of work spanning 20 years.

In 2017 I was hit by a bus and dragged under its wheel. Overnight, my mobility changed. I am now disabled and use a wheelchair.

2021-present I’ve been developing a new concept album, THE BURGUNDY BOOK, inspired by this life-changing accident & Near Death Experience. THE BURGUNDY BOOK fuses creative disciplines & genres. It contains elements of musical theatre, poetry, audio drama and concept album; featuring live musicians, storytelling and original composition & songs.

A world-class team, including Director Erica Whyman (RSC), have led on album development, and will now begin a research & development period of adapting THE BURGUNDY BOOK into a digitally immersive musical theatre piece.
