Cracking Slate

The Cracking Slate logo is featured to the left of the image: a pale turquoise circle with line art of a sunset. Inside the circle, orange text spells out Cracking Slate. On the righthand side of the image, a purple gradient background frames a white silhouette of a tree with billowing leaves.

Cracking Slate is a new theatre company founded by Josh Lewis supporting the development of creativity, collaboration and confidence in young people.

Their vision is a world where everyone can dive into their imagination and innovate together to create a more sustainable future.

Cracking Slate will be developing a new play about free will and making your own choices, called Lose the Path, Find Your Way. The play works as a springboard and stops before the end, giving young people the space to devise their own endings, building problem solving and team working skills through the experience. They will use the time at artsdepot to explore the way the participatory elements of the play are integrated within the script and build the show’s story telling style.
