We're thrilled to have partnered with The Southbank Centre on their Art by Post project which delivers free poetry and visual arts activities to people all over UK, via their letterbox!
The Southbank Centre developed Art by Post during the first Covid-19 lockdown to engage those most isolated by social distancing measures, with a particular emphasis on reaching older adults living with long term health conditions.
Art by Post is very simple. Free creative booklets are sent to those who've signed up every 4 weeks. The booklets guide participants through activities which spark the imagination and encourage creativity. A growing community of over 2,000 people all over the country are taking part in Art by Post. Also included in the packs are Freepost envelopes and participants are invited to share their artwork and creative responses with the Southbank Centre who are planning an Art by Post exhibition in their building, due to take place later in 2021.
How to sign up:
artsdepot has now reached full capacity on this project and is unable to accept any more participants. The Southbank Centre is still accepting referrals from those who would like to receive the booklets via email. Find out more.
Art by Post has been developed in consultation with Southbank Centre and is funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
