Dror Burstein & Nadav Burstein are father & son. A REPORT TO A PUPPET UNION is their first artistic collaboration.
A REPORT TO A PUPPET UNION is a new dark-comedy produced by Floating Shed. It’s about a man who quits his human existence to become a theatre puppet. Written after a short story by Franz Kafka, the show explores inherited fear and art as resistance in times of violence.
Nadav trained as an actor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire before taking an MA Drama Writing at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He’s the co-founder of Floating Shed. Dror Burstein is an award-winning author who was hailed by the New-York Times as “One of the most experimental Israeli novelists writing today”. The show is directed by Simon Gleave who trained at École internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq and has directed work for Soho Theatre, Pleasance and RADA.
The show asks: what do we erase in order to belong?
