Jackie Kibuka is a multidisciplinary dancer, movement director, choreographer, teacher and actress with over 15 years' experience in the UK street dance and hip-hop theatre scene.

She trained at Runway House and has performed with leading companies including Boadicea and ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company. Jackie is developing Jajja 15, a vibrant family dance theatre show exploring the legacy and impact of African activism. Blending Ugandan dance, hip hop and spoken word, the work follows three grandchildren on a mythical journey through their grandfather’s life during Uganda’s independence. Inspired by true events the work aims to shine a light on untold diaspora stories.

Jackie Kibuka is the recipient of this year’s Barking and Dagenham-based Artist Residency.
