A workshop by Middlesex University MA Interiors programme about Belonging in Finchley, as part of London Festival of Architecture.

Local residents, of all ages, are invited to explore what belonging means in Finchley today, using creativity, memory, and playful design to imagine more inclusive, sustainable futures for North Finchley and Finchley Central. Too many buildings are lost to landfill when they could instead be re-worked, re-inhabited, and re-loved. The workshop explores cultural heritage and invites visitors to imagine how Finchley could grow into an even more welcoming place.

There will be building and design activities for all ages, including model building for the younger visitors and a collective map for adults to explore local buildings.

This event is part of London Festival of Architecture (LFA) , a month long celebration of architecture and city-making in June 2026.
