Adapted and Directed by Soussan Farrokhnia.
Othello is one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, inspired by Cinthio’s 1565 Italian novella Un Capitano Moro. Shakespeare wrote the play around 1603, shaping a powerful story of love, jealousy, deception, and vulnerability. Its rich characters and emotional depth have made Othello one of the most frequently adapted works on stage and screen, demonstrating its lasting relevance across cultures and generations.
Presented by London Independent Iranian Community Artists Association
Please note, this show is performed in Persian / Farsi with English subtitles. We’ve indicated on the seating plan where you’ll get the best view of the subtitles.
