We're looking for a Drama Workshop Leader (professional theatre director or drama facilitator) to lead our Autumn 2025 Young Company sessions.

Are you passionate about theatre-making with young people? Do you enjoy creating dynamic, ensemble-based work and nurturing new talent?

We’re looking for a Drama Workshop Leader (professional theatre director or drama facilitator) to lead our Autumn 2025 Young Company sessions. These weekly workshops are for young people in Barnet, aged 13 – 19 and offer an exciting introduction to devising, ensemble performance, and new writing – with the potential to lead into performing in a production as part of the National Theatre Connections Festival 2026. Sessions take place at artsdepot on Tuesdays, 5pm – 7pm.

About the Project

artsdepot Young Company is a, skill-building space where young people can:

  • Explore new writing and devising
  • Learn collaborative performance techniques
  • Grow their confidence on stage
  • Discover if they want to be part of our Spring 2026 Young Company production

Whether participants are brand new or seasoned performers, these sessions offer a safe, creative and social environment for developing performance skills and making bold, brilliant theatre together.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience facilitating youth drama workshops or directing young performers
  • Is knowledgeable about ensemble techniques, new writing and collaborative theatre-making
  • Has excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Can plan and deliver creative, structured sessions for a diverse group of young people
  • Is passionate about youth engagement and the power of performance
  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding best practices and experience working within safeguarding frameworks when engaging with young people in creative settings
