Our Freedom: Then and Now is a nationwide programme marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
We are proud to be one of 60 organisations across the UK selected to take part. As part of the project, we will be hosting a series of free creative workshops in Burnt Oak, working together with the community to reflect on the past and imagine what freedom means today.
Whether you’re 18 or 86, new to the area or have called Burnt Oak home your whole life, we’d love for you to join us in celebrating local voices and putting Burnt Oak on the map. You’ll have the chance to share your stories, your heritage, and your hopes for the future through creative activities.
No artistic experience is needed – just curiosity, a willingness to get involved, and a desire to connect with others in your community.
Hear from our Community Producer Divya below to learn more about the project and how you can get involved.
Please sign up to the programme using this survey by Thu 31 Jul.
