Fifty years after 1974, the poetry of leading Cypriot poets - set to music by Andreas A. Artemis - comes alive with deep emotion.

Through their words and melodies, they reveal the essence of life hidden within them. The poetic structure feels like a message engraved on a timeless monument, untouched by the years. The lyrics flow with rhythmic beauty, carried by the power of the Greek language, which has endured and inspired across the centuries.

This work also honors those who gave their lives to defend their homeland. It revives memories from the occupied regions of Kyrenia, Morphou, and Famagusta – bringing back the scents, sounds, struggles, and sacred places of Greek Cypriot life.

Presented by The Archdiocese of Thyateira
