Can you really live a life without consequence? When the beautiful Dorian Gray comes to London, his is the name on everyone’s lips. In a distorted, demonic city of sordid sinners his looks can get him anywhere. But then the boundaries of art and life start to merge...
Pregnant Fish’s physical and musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic tale has been described as "proper theatre... richly ambitious... tangible and human-scaled." (Christopher Fear). Following a 2012 tour, the piece has been re-imagined for non-theatre spaces, with a work-in-progress showing at Room Festival.
Pregnant Fish Theatre is built upon the ethos of intimate, stripped back performances for ‘pocket money prices’. Since 2010 the company has strived to create authentic, innovative and challenging theatre that has been described as "intimate and intense" (SoundartRadio) and "something bigger...ultimately uplifting" (Wildfire). The company has produced a wide variety of original shows for both adults and young people, including several interactive children’s adventures for The RHS.
