German Munoz: Serpent of the Sea

Mexico and its drug war. Gruesome deaths, endless bloodshed. This is what people see all the time in the news. But what about the stories of the ordinary people affected by the violence? Serpent of the Sea is a drama inspired by actual events. Two young men are gunned down outside one of Mexico’s most prestigious universities. Were they innocent bystanders or involved in something more sinister? Serpent of the Sea explores the search for the truth in a country where it’s in short supply.
