Residency Dates: Mon 16 - Fri 27 May 2016
South-East based Pebble Gorge produce ambitious, exciting, theatre-based events for children and families by sending them on adventures to discover more about the world they live in. The company creates work for children which explores real issues in a way that is interactive, playful and above all lots of fun. They are interested in how the technology that children use every day can be used alongside theatre techniques to make engaging and exciting experiences.
During their residency, Pebble Gorge developed a studio show for children aged 4 - 6 that will take them on an interactive journey through a narrative that explores space and the stars. They will cast the audience as astronauts, using headphones to immerse them in an imagined world, where they will be encouraged to make a playful physical response to a story, using projection onto surfaces that will respond to sound, movement and touch.
This residency is supported by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation
This residency is part A Nation's Theatre Festival - a celebration of UK creativity. Theatre-makers from outside London will be presenting and developing shows across the capital April - May 2016.
