Manic Chord Theatre

Residency dates: Tue 8 - Fri 19 Aug

This is Yesterday is a final performance. A virtuoso is losing their music and prepares to perform one last concert.

Leeds-based Manic Chord Theatre were excited to embark on Research and Development for their next major project. This is Yesterday is an important, genre blending performance piece with process at its heart. Through collaboration with people living with dementia, musicians and local community groups the project looks to uncover how we experience consciousness and memory, both collectively and as individuals.

Through the skeleton of a piano and the music of the mind, This is Yesterday will give space to the daydream in the everyday. The project explores what dementia might reveal about our potential to live both in the present, and outside of it.
