artsdepot Youth Dance - Contemporary
Are you interested to develop your dance technique, perform, choreograph or simply have fun and socialise?
This artsdepot Youth Dance class is a chance for young people in school years 7 – 11 to develop contemporary dance technique, performance skills and choreograph their own movement.
Weekly classes are led by an experienced professional dance teacher and introduce the principles and foundations of contemporary dance technique and choreography. The fun and energetic sessions focus on increasing your strength, fitness and flexibility as well as developing your co-ordination skills and musicality.
There are opportunities to work in groups and individually in these dynamic classes to create your own imaginative movement sequences and dance phrases, guided by the teacher.
Develop your confidence and performance skills through performances for friends and family at the end of each term.
No experience necessary.
Spring Term: Tue 22 Jan - Tue 2 Apr (no class on Tue 19 Feb)

Please wear clothes you are comfortable to move in, e.g. tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. Participants will dance bare foot.
We're keen to hear from participants from all backgrounds and have a limited number of subsidised places available for those who could otherwise not afford to attend. Please contact our Participation team at email@example.com for further details.
