Michele Drees: four dancers tap-dance on wooden boards on a stage in front of a jazz band
Sat 19 Oct

Michele Drees’ Jazz Tap Project

Michèle Drees Jazz Tap Project is a spectacular mix of rhythm tap dance and jazz.

The show features some of the UK’s finest tap dancers alongside percussionist Michèle Drees and her band, performing new compositions by Michèle written with the percussive and expressive tap dancers in mind. The result is a thrilling mix of jazz, Brazilian and rhythm tap dance in which the dancers become another instrument and jazz becomes visual.

This project has been developing for over several years, and is helping to secure the revival of the iconic jazz tap from the back streets of New Orleans and Hollywood’s silver screen.
