Our priority is to keep our visitors, staff and artists safe. We have kept the following procedures in place, following the lifting of restrictions in July:
We are asking everyone visiting artsdepot to continue wearing a face mask (apart from when seated at a table eating or drinking), including inside the theatres and other spaces. Staff will continue to wear face masks too. Children under 11 and those who are medically except are not required to wear face masks.
Test & Trace
So that we can continue to support efforts to reduce the rate of new infections we are asking all visitors to continue scanning the NHS QR code using the NHS Covid-19 App, even if you are just popping in for a coffee. Posters with the QR code on can be found on the ground floor and throughout the building. Alternatively you can give your details at the Box Office. Your information will only be held for 21 days and won’t be shared with anyone apart from NHS Test & Trace, if required.
We are operating our theatres and spaces at their normal capacities. We ask all customers to be aware of each other's personal space, and maintain social distancing when queueing or moving around the building.
Enhanced Cleaning Procedures
Cleaning and disinfecting continute to take place frequently throughout the building, paying particular attention to touch points. Protective screens remain in place at the Box Office and café.
There are touch-free sanitiser points available throughout the building. Please use these during your visit.
Contactless Payments & Tickets
Please use contactless and card payments at the Box Office and café.
We will continue to use contactless tickets for all events. On the day of the performance or event, you’ll receive a text message with a link to your tickets. Please make sure you give us a mobile number when booking.

New participants can attend an initial taster session before making a booking for the term. Taster sessions are free, but are subject to availability and can be booked no more than one week in advance. Please note that booking a taster session does not guarantee a place on the full course. Please contact the Box Office on 020 8369 5454 to book a taster session.
Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing they can move in, e.g. tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt.
Discounts and subsidised places at £35 are available for those in receipt of Income Support or on low incomes (subject to availability). Subsidised places will need to be approved by our Programming & Participation Team, please email to enquire.
Please note: no refunds will be given if you do not attend pre-booked sessions or choose not to continue with the group.
Everyone is welcome in our Over 60s classes, whether you’ve never danced before or you want to get back into it. Participants might want to keep fit and healthy, have a lifelong love of dance or be keen to meet other likeminded people who they can share a cup of tea with after the class.
If you are interested in giving it a try but have any reservations or queries, pick up the phone or pop in and talk to one of our friendly Box Office team who will answer any questions you have and will consult with the class teacher if necessary.
These classes are specifically for ages 60+ and we’re happy to discuss any additional needs that may require support.
The classes are open to all abilities. They incorporate creative and technical practice, to help participants to develop their strength and co-ordination as well as their creative expression.
How it works
Sign up for a taster session before you commit to the term. This way you can give it a go, meet the teacher and the rest of your class.
Our classes are booked by the term (ten weeks) so once you’re happy you can confirm that you want to attend for the rest of the term. Classes are popular and get booked up so do let us know as soon as you can after attending a taster.
Taking your first class
When you arrive please pop into the Box Office to collect your ticket so you can hand it to the tutor. Please let your tutor know if you have any health issues or injuries before the class. Please arrive in plenty of time, latecomers may not be admitted as we don’t want you to miss the warm-up.
