Call Out: Young people to participate in MINE

Published: Wed 7 Nov 2018

We've got a great opportunity for young people aged 10 - 14: Do you play Minecraft regularly? Are you interested in theatre or performance? If so, we are looking for you!

As part of our ongoing Canada Season, we're excited to present our first international artist commission. MINE, by Theatre Replacement, looks at relationships between mothers and sons. Using the online game Minecraft, MINE explores family bonds and positive transitions from virtual worlds to real life.

We're looking for 4 young people to participate in this new theatre project in Spring 2019. Canadian theatre company Theatre Replacement are presenting MINE at artsdepot from Thu 21 to Sat 23 March 2019.

If you play Minecraft regularly, and play both Survival and Creative modes on a computer, with a keyboard and mouse (WASD, not iOS or console Minecraft), we would love to hear from you.

Participants will need to be available Sat 16 - Wed 20 Mar 2019 for rehearsals and Thu 21 - Sat 23 Mar for performances. The application deadline is Mon 26 Nov.
