artsdepot open Prize Winners Announced

The winners of the artsdepot open, a diverse exhibition of work by emerging and established artists from Barnet and beyond, have been announced.
Two main prizes are awarded each year, supported by the Milly Apthorp Charitable Trust Continuation Fund. A first prize of £750 and second prize of £250 were awarded to the two most distinguished works by artists currently living, studying or working in the London Borough of Barnet. The winners of these prizes were chosen by Lawrence Fenton of the Milly Apthorp Continuation Fund. In addition, a prize is awarded to a Young Artist, aged 13 - 19.
This year’s first prize winner was photographer Nadege Meriau for Au Centre de la Terre I. Margaret Crutchley won second prize for her painting The Annunciation, and the Young Artist prize was awarded to 17 year old Hannah Denham for her work Man Undone.
artsdepot open is an opportunity for artists and aspiring artists to have their work shown in a professional gallery space at artsdepot and for visitors to the gallery to experience and purchase a wide variety of work. This year’s artsdepot open exhibition features work in a variety of mediums including sculpture, collage, photography, video projection, ceramics and painting.
The artsdepot open exhibition is open until Thursday 24 April (closed Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday), entry is free.
