Barnet Folk Club presents Folk in the Foyer hosted by J. J. Dunne.
Barnet bred Beverley is no stranger to folk in the foyer or to the folk/singer/songwriter scene in London. Having played extensively as a solo artist she has also been part of North London based band ‘Crooked Usage’ and as part of the duo ‘The BeverLee Brothers’ with Lee Kosmin. Beverley’s original songs, written with warmth, honesty and integrity will pull at your heart strings and make you groove all at the same time!
Dean hails from Australia and has toured widely in Australia and Japan both with his band ‘9½ Incas’’ and as a solo artist. A versatile musician, Dean is a bassist, guitarist, blues harpist oud player and is lead vocalist for London-base funk/rock band ‘Reality Cheques’. His self penned songs are delivered with passion and sensitivity.
Beverley and Dean have joined forces to bring you a selection of original material and covers in which they demonstrate delicate harmonies and a blending of their individual styles taking you on a journey between Carole King and Cat Stevens with a few detours on the way
