In_fruition: Afro-Brazilian Summer Dance Laboratory

In...fruition......are you a seed waiting to blossom?

Do you have dance experience and are looking for an opportunity to nurture your talent, grow stonger, and nourish your creativity this summer?

Consider yourself gaining experience in the professional dance context, working with many high profile contemporary dance artists and performing a new piece of work in 5 London theatres?

Looking to maintain your physical aptitude and develop it further during the sumer whilst at/before going on to dance school/university? Or perhaps you were unlucky in your auditions and require some intensive training before reapplying?

In_fruition is a new Summer Laboratory for people aged 18 and over. You are invited to take part in 4 weeks intensive training with a panel of established dance practitioners. There will be 6 hours training per day Monday-Friday 1am-5pm. The weekly schedule will include:

Contemporary Dance and Theatre training
Bettina Carpi (CandoCo Dance Company)
Rachel Lopez de la Nieta (Arthur Pita)
Annarita Mazzili (ex-Transitions Dance Company)

Capoeira & Acrobatics training

Project Mentor
Rachel Liggitt (Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company)

The cost of the course is £600 (4 weeks) and we are offerring 2 free scholarships to the most promising applicants. You may however choose to select specific weeks within the course. 1 week = £180, 2 weeks = £320, 3 weeks = £470

At the end of the training intensive 4 In_fruition participants (plus the 2 scholarship students) will be selected by Everaldo pereira to make a new work to be toured in 5 London venues in September 2007. Theatres include: Robin Howard Dance Theatre, Chisenhale Theatre, Cochrane Theatre and the premiere at artsdepot.
