Eo-Ulim / In Harmony
An exhibition by young Korean artists working and living in London.
Thursday 13th September 2007
- Wednesday 19th September 2007
11.00AM- 5.00PM
This exhibition aims to show how young Korean artists transform western culture into artworks based on their origin. Anyone in London who is from another nation or culture probably confronts the issue of how to harmonise himself/herself in this new society. This exhibition focuses on showing how Korean young artists resolve this matter with their work.
Their work represent EO-ULIM (harmony in Korean) of two different cultures existing inside themselves. Another aspect of EO-ULIM is how each artist’s work in this exhibition is in harmony as one solid work. Although all individual artists have their own colours in their work the exhibition can still show one solid effect to the audience, like a symphony in harmony.
Most artists in the exhibition are trained in London as well as in Seoul. This exhibition will be a unique chance to see young Korean artists’ works in North London.
