Play!

artsdepot’s family and early years programme aims to integrate play and learning for children and their families. In house we run courses, holiday workshops and two annual play days: Play! and Asobi! (Japanese Children’s day). Our highly successful play days attract over 1200 people, opening up the whole of artsdepot to children and their families to free theatre, live performance and participation in a safe and inclusive environment. artsdepot has also established long term relationships with the borough’s children and family centres through extensive residencies, delivering touring children’s theatre, education packages and training.

Aims

To promote informal learning for children and their families.
To engage children and their families in culturally diverse activities and socialise with families of various cultures and backgrounds.
To enable children to work as a group with others they have not met before.
To ensure children and their families have access to excellent theatre, live performance and participation in a safe and inclusive environment.
